The Believer video is so thought provoking with the 3 sides of Dan Reynolds. I know that the blood isn't real, it is part of Dan's artistic and personal journey, it is still a bit painful to see him battling and bleeding even though it is with himself.

Because the message is so close to home for me it continues to make me one of Imagine Dragons' biggest fans.

On Night Visions, the first album, Dan wrote in the song Demons, "I want to hide the truth/I wanna shelter you/ But with the beast inside/There's nowhere we can hide."

I've followed the journey of Smoke and Mirrors since day one. The day that Dan tearfully stood on stage and said that he was suffering from Ankylosing Spondylitis and it was a disease that would make him old while he was still young left us all reeling.

I still remember playing the Smoke and Mirrors CD for the first time and noting that the first spoken words on the album were, I'm sorry for everything, oh everything I've done." From Shots. The song is beautiful in so many ways, lyrically, musically, visually with the help of the amazing artistic vision of Tim Cantor, and still speaks with remorseful lyrics of wanting something that can't be had. Brokenness.

Compare that to the opening lines of Believer when he says, "First things first, I'ma say all the things inside my head/I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been."
I would be completely happy if Believer were the first track on the third album.

The new era of Imagine Dragons is going to surpass expectations if the album to follow is anything like the first single, Believer! Hoping that Dan can inspire firebreathers old and young to deal with their demons in such bad *** form!
