Dan Reynolds shares Song for Zula by Phosphorescent

Dan Reynolds often pauses during live shows to remark about the power of music to unite people and dissolve our differences. It is one of the things that sets Imagine Dragons apart from other artists.

Dan posted a link to Phosphorescent's Song for Zula and said, "I need to listen to this song every day."

The video is striking in the simplicity of a woman attempting to break free of her chains.

I researched the importance of music in our daily lives and this was one of the best answers.
    By Giorgis Rachiotis
"Music is the greatest creation of man, which touches the soul and also helps man to sympathetically manifest unspoken desire and humanity in him. The effect of music in man is what separarated him from other animals. Due to the high effect of music in the life of a human being, it is capable of breaking boundaries to unite people from different back-ground and cultural heritage. Indeed, there are lots to say about music making it one of the most important factors in the life of a human being of all races and religions. In fact, music can best be described as a wonderful force that is capable of bonding people together and instituting international brotherhood, love as well as peace. This article is dedicated to pinpoint some importance of music.
Indeed, due to the power of music in the heart and bone marrow of human being, it can draw millions of people from different parts of the world and uplift them emotionally. For that reason, music can easily be used as an instrument of peace when there is chaos between people of different origin and background. You can easily notice this particular effect of music when you have an issue with your partner and he or she starts playing music you love to hear."

"Whether you are a music enthusiast or not, the best way you can express your feelings, anger, love, passion, joy, and other kinds of feelings is simply through music. It is rightly said that when words or letters failed, the best option is music. You will be able to express the intent of your heart through music which ordinarily may not be possible for you either in words or letters."

    A Song for Zula

🎵Some say love is a burning thing
🎵That it makes a fiery ring
🎵Oh but I know love as a fading thing
🎵Just as fickle as a feather in a stream
    🎵See, honey, I saw love
🎵You see it came to me
🎵It put its face up to my face so I could see
🎵Yeah then I saw love disfigure me
🎵Into something I am not recognizing
🎵See the cage, it called, I said come on in
🎵I will not open myself up this way again
🎵Nor lay my face to the soil, nor my teeth to the sand
🎵I will not lay like this for days now upon end
🎵You will not see me fall, nor struggle to stand
🎵To be acknowledged from some touch from his gnarled hands
🎵You see the cage it called, I said, come on in
🎵I will not open myself this way again
🎵You see the moon is bright in that treetop night
🎵I see the shadows we cast in the cold clean light
🎵I might fear I go and my heart is white
🎵And we race out on the desert plains all night
🎵So honey I am now some broken thing
🎵I do not lay in the dark waiting for day here
🎵My heart is gold, my feet are right
🎵And I am racing out on the desert plains tonight
🎵Some say love is a burning thing
    🎵That makes a fiery ring
🎵All I know love as a caging thing
🎵Just a killer come to call from some awful dream
🎵And all you folks, you come and see
🎵You just stand there in the glass looking at me
🎵But my heart is wild, and my bones are steel
🎵And I could kill you with my bare hands if I was free

    Is anyone else crying!😢
Dan Reynolds has compared being a songwriter to being naked. I can exactly see how sharing his deepest and most private thoughts would make him feel exposed. I can only imagine what emotions are brought up by being told that he and his beautiful wife are expecting twins. I hope sincerely that some of that magic is captured in the songs. It must be a crazy and wonderful outpouring of love and excitement! Good times! Good music!
Thank you Dan, for sharing a piece of yourself with us though music. Thank you for being a one of a kind ambassador for love and peace and music.
