Here we are don't turn away now
We are the Warriors that built this town
From dust

When you have to rise
Above the best and prove yourself
Your spirit never dies!

Technology was a bit challenging for myself and Imagine Dragons for the gaming live stream. There were lags in the feed and Dan Reynolds had no end of trouble with his microphone.
I could not get logged into the chat portion but looked at some great comments on Twitter. I think the main thing to remember was it was fantastic to see our Dragons at play and the event was to raise money for charity.
It was also very late for those of us on the East Coast with Imagine Dragons logging off a little after 1AM. For the dedicated European firebreathers it was 6AM! Now that is dedication! Some of them went to work and school with absolutely zero sleep. I am fortunate to have slept for a few hours.
I was surprised that there was nothing from Imagine Dragons on Twitter before, during, or after the game. They were probably caught up in the game. Ben McKee did not make an appearance while I was watching the live stream. In this last photo, you can see Dan Reynolds in his headset in the upper left hand corner of the picture.
Imagine Dragons played three games against the Ledends team. All of the games were very close in score but they lost the first two games and won the last game! I am not very familiar with the game and even the narration didn't help me much! There are icons on the margins for each player and a score board on the top of the screen. Platzmaz's character has the best name of, "Un1co4n!"
It was pretty amazing to be a part of such a big event because at one point there were about 25,000 people on the live stream! That is a party!Dan invited all of the gamers that participated to get a free ticket to a concert on the next Imagine Dragons world tour!
The narrators commented that if each person watching would donate only one dollar, that they would exceed their goal of $20,000. One of the charities they played for was the Tyler Robinson Foundation and the second charity was Anxiety Gaming. I looke to the web site for more info.
anxietygaming.com
"Anxiety Gaming is more than a 501(c)(3) non profit, it is a movement. Our team makes mental health care accessible to those who need it most. You can find us online connecting gamers with local therapists at discounted rates, leading our way with our pro teams, using our games to push mental health awareness.
Offline, Anxiety Gaming is busy setting the standards for community leadership our c4k program collects video game consoles and computers to youth around the world. While our community grant completely covers the cost of therapy and medication for any gamer from a low-income background. Our team also enjoys hitting the streets to teach at risk youth how to use gaming as a form of stress relief."
.
I was again amazed at the compassion shown by Imagine Dragons. How wonderful for them to take a night to play for a good cause, connect with their fans and at the same time be an advocate for mental health. Good job helping even more people battle their demons. I suppose I can overlook the fact that they continued to tease us about a surprise coming soon from Imagine Dragons.
The live stream ended with some VERY adult language from some of the gamers but I doubt any kiddos were up that late. The session ended on a humerous note with the gamers singing the most DISHARMONIOUS VERSION OF WARRIORS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Help! My ears might be bleeding!)
