There is no one more thrilled than myself to hear the happiness reflected in the music of Evolve!
When I listen to Rise Up, I picture Dan marching, triumphantly shouting, and punctuating the the song with his fist in the air!
I feel deep reflection in Dancing in The Dark and I Will Make it Up To You.
Believer is a powerful anthem of self discovery!
It think the new album is so good that it's difficult to describe!
Keep in mind that I have the lyrics from It's Time tattooed on my arms because the message was such a personal one for me! "The path to heaven runs through miles of clouded hell.
I finally decided to vote for Smoke and Mirrors! The story includes asking for redemption, I'm So Sorry, The Fall, Shots , and Trouble. ! My favorite track on the album is probably Polaroid. Dan never really defined, "The color of boom." I had difficulty at first with the self deprecating nature of the song. "Imma shut up sit down." I finally decided that it was healing to talk openly about self doubt and questioning one's faith. Scream the demons out on stage and go to bed and rest well. I guess I mean there's something to be said about getting things off of your chest? Connecting to people on a deeply personal level, Admitting you don't have the answers. So, I pick Smoke and Mirrors as my favorite album even though I love all three albums. It was part of therapy for my favorite band of n the world! Difficult choice!

While my most favorite Imagine Dragons songs are usually positive, I have decided to vote for Smoke + Mirrors. That album and this band really helped me when I was in a very deep depression, and helped me climb out of that.
Night Visions almost got my vote bc that was 'the' album & songs that introduced me to the band- and my oldest son and I would sing the songs in the car non-stop. Very nostalgic for me and always happy in my memories.
However, I do love the positive vibe on EVOLVE and feel like it is a great place to be and is how I feel now, so in a way I feel like I've grown musically along with the dragons.... and hope to continue to do so! But right now, I feel the Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, Thunder.....!
